Bitcoin the Hard Way

Posted 2021-12-22

The other day someone how many possible bitcoin wallets could there be, and if you could just guess them until you found one. I explained roughly how many possible wallets there can be (a metric fuckton) and how inefficient it would be to try to go through every one to find the ones with a balance.

Well, they weren't swayed, so I offered them a tool to use their infinite time to do it!

Introducing the BTC Lottery! Now you too can experience the thrill of clicking on a button every 5 seconds to see if you somehow manage to get the private key to a wallet that has a balance!

Come one, come all, and see if you are one of the luck 1 in 1,461,501,637,330,902,918,203,684,832,716,283,019,655,932,542,976 people that will find one!

All you have to do is hit the button - I will automatically tell you if the wallet you found has a balance, or if it's just like yours - empty.

Note: Ethically I know this is a bit dubious since at the end of the day it's someone else's money, but the chance is so infinitesimally small that the bit of fun it provides that it's fine.
